The Universal Ritual Artwork {TURA} is an ongoing series of works exploring methods of inducing heightened states of consciousness.
‘Whirling Gaze’ thematically examines the axis between the human body’s materiality and its own dissolution. The work creates a synchronised image and music allegory translating motifs from Sufism and sacred dance to a synthetic virtual space.
This work is intended as a reintegration piece in a three-part ritual-like structure, where it may be used to symbolise a sense of completion; a sense of return and celebration after the emptiness of the separation phase and the and symbolic death of the liminal phase.
